PB2 Course 11
Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It aims to teach boat handling and seamanship in powerboats. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.
Aim: To teach boat handling and seamanship in powerboats
Pre-Entry Requirements: No previous knowledge required
Duration: Two days
Ratio: The ratio of students to instructor will not exceed 3:1
Minimum Age: 16 years old. (exceptions will be considered for 12-16 years with a pre-assessment. Contact organiser to make arrangements prior to booking)
Endorsement: Certificates for those aged 12 to 16 will be endorsed to the effect that the user should only use powered craft under the supervision of a responsible adult.

RYA Powerboat Scheme Syllabus & Logbook (G20) is available to purchase directly online from the RYA using this link . You will need to packed lunch on both days.
Our courses incorporate the induction course for the SGBA safety boats so, after successfully completing the course, you can book the safety boats for your personal use.
