Joining SGBA is an excellent way of getting out on the River Dart to enjoy the wonderful boating it has to offer. We organise an active RYA training & social programme on and off the water throughout the year.
Benefits of Membership:
- Access to the clubhouse including the clubroom (where you can unwind with a cuppa and enjoy one of the best views on the Dart), and changing rooms/toilets/showers.
- Use of the club's fleet of sailing dinghies, kayaks, Canadian canoes, SUP's and rowing boats.
- Use of club powerboats - subject to suitable qualifications. Full details here.
- Access to RYA training courses in first aid, sailing, powerboats, and VHF.
- Invitations to SGBA events throughout the year.
- Opportunities to join up with other members for informal sailing or boating trips and social events.
- Storage facilities for dinghies, tenders, kayaks and canoes for an annual fee (subject to availability).
- Secure lockers and outboard storage at the Clubhouse (there is a charge for the lockers and outboard storage and there is currently a waiting list).
- Voting rights at the SGBA Annual General Meeting and the opportunity to join our Management Committee.
- Many and varied opportunities to get involved in running SGBA - we depend on our volunteers to operate!
Please Note:
- SGBA has no car parking facilities. You can park at the public Mill Pond car park, but there is a £6 daily charge and the car park fills up quickly in the summer. There is no charge after 5pm. Alternative parking may be found in the village, a short walk away. NB: There is no member vehicle access along the foreshore to the clubhouse or dinghy park.
