New SUPs available to members

The SGBA has recently purchased two new SUPs (stand-up paddleboards), to join the fleet of craft available to members.
These are rigid NSP HIT cruising SUPs. Stable, reasonably light, and with practical carry-handles and safety straps, these SUPs are ideal for use on the river.
We've chosen to invest in rigid boards as our previous inflatable SUPs had a tendency to puncture on the rocky foreshore at Mill Point. These will not puncture, but we would still ask that members be careful them and treat them as you might your own! To keep good care of our SUPs, please step off before grounding on the shore and carry (not drag) the board up the beach and onto the racks.
These two boards are now bookable on our online system, as Rigid SUP 10'2" and Rigid SUP 11'2".
When going out on the water, remember SEAL:
- Safe conditions
- Emergency contact
- Appropriate clothing
- Life jacket (or buoyancy aid!)
