School sailing taster day 3

Wet play.
The forecast didn't look as promising for day 3 of the school taster sessions. Will Howitt (one of our dinghy instructors) moved the initial briefing under cover into the club house ground floor. By the time the briefing was over the children couldn't wait to get out onto the water despite the continuing rain. Their enthusiasm was rewarded when the sun came out (briefly) and a gentle breeze blew down the river, giving the children a chance to feel the excitement of their sails filling and their boats accelerating. We were all very impressed with how the children, many of whom had never sailed before, were able to keep their boats moving, successfully tack and even survive the occasional unintentional gibe. Thanks again for all involved.
