SGBA at the Dartmouth Regatta

As part of the River Dart's vibrant sailing and boating community, the SGBA sent several teams to this year's Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (23-26 August).

This year saw the Toppers, Teras & Fevas racing in Dartmouth Sunday to Tuesday, whilst the Lasers, Solos and PY classes raced in Dittsum Sunday to Wednesday.

There was a strong representation from SGBA with 1 Topper, 5 Teras, 2 Fevas, 2 Laser Radials, 3 Laser Standards and an Aero. SGBA teams included 16 competitors in total, ranging from a 9 year-old all the way up to Mark & Charlie at a shade over 21!

Given that this was the first racing Regatta for most of our young sailors, they enjoyed some great results both in the Junior Fleet and the main Dinghy Fleet, with some very tight racing and many individual successes. Congratulations to all.
