SGBA Juniors go team racing

Saturday morning started a little differently this week. A trip down river to Glampton to meet the Sailability sailers and have an introduction to their Hansa 303 sailing dinghies. A short briefing was followed by 4 races with 12 participants in 6 boats. The first race had a good breeze with a 1st, 2nd & 3rd for team SGBA. The following two races were very close with less wind, allowing team tactics to come into play resulting in mixed results. With slight rain and a decreasing wind the last race was unfortunately cancelled part way through. With the 3 SGBA boats accumulating 27 points against Sailability's 36, SGBA took the team trophy. Well done and well deserved Edith, Harriet, Willow, Daniel, Arthur and Barnaby.

A huge thanks to all at Sailability. Their tireless dedication to ensuring everyone who wants to get afloat, can do, is amazing. Very well organised and supported, the event was faultless.
