Dinghy Instructor Course hosted at SGBA

Last week, the SGBA hosted an RYA Dinghy Instructor course. Congratulations are due to Verity Howle, Albert Gilmore, Max Morrell, Otto Oldridge and Graham Moore for successfully completing 3 days of training and qualifying as Dinghy Instructors, with an endorsement for teaching in single-handed boats.
We look forward to welcoming our new instructors back once Covid-19 restrictions are sufficiently lifted, enabling them to complete their double-handed teaching endorsement too.
Many thanks to Stuart Jones for running the course, and Will Howitt for acting as the SGBA liaison. Speaking on the three days of training, Will said: "They were challenged by heat, humidity, rain and no wind at all, but all came through buoyant and upbeat. I know they will make excellent teachers to help share the 'buzz' that they obviously get from their sailing. Well done and thanks for a great four days of fun!"
