Works to facilitate new pontoon at Mill Point begin!

Published 18:39 on 20 Mar 2026

On Monday 23rd March works will begin at Stoke Gabriel Boating Association in front of the club house at Mill Point in accordance with our planning consent 0345/24/FUL.The work is to improve the stone bank in front of the club to create a raised walkway to a new landing point that will give all tides access to a new pontoon provided by Dart Harbour to replace the current plastic one.

Work is expected to last 2 to 4 weeks and, while all work will be taking place on SGBA land, anyone accessing the foreshore will need to be aware that some machinery will be working and moving to and fro. The works area will be cordoned off by the contractor and will move as the works progress. No once should access the designated works area to ensure safety of all.

Disruption for Club activities will be kept to a minimum and SGBA members have been emailed with details of Club access during the works.

All will result in easier and safer access for all to a smart new Pontoon.
