Work started renewing the slipway

The existing concrete slipway in-front of the clubhouse is pitted and breaking up. We've decided to lay a new one to make it easier to launch and retrieve dinghies and kayaks as well as reducing wear and tear on trolleys and hulls. We're also aiming to smooth the gradients to avoid sudden drop-offs.

Work has started breaking up the old slipway to make way for the laying of a new one. We can only lay the new concrete at neap tides so the water doesn't cover the setting concrete. The concrete for the new slipway will poured on Friday 6th March.

The broken concrete from the old slipway is currently in front of the clubhouse and will be moved in due course.
